I'm glad that you've found interest in the skinning community, and your VLC skin is very well done. I know you've worked hard on your product, but I kindly ask you to refrain from advertising it in the comment section of other deviations. It definitely isn't the place to do so, and it only distracts from the actual purpose of this section. There are many other, more effective ways to promote your work, such as the VLC forums.
1. I use VLC as my default music player (so i don't have to open up iTunes to play random music files). I set the 'default height' and 'minimum height' to 210, so when VLC plays a music file it doesn't open quite so big.
2. The 'forward' and 'backwards' buttons don't fit in my opinion. They look more like 'next' and 'previous'. I would do a more "« / »" design instead of "← / →". It would fit with the "|« / »|" of the existing 'previous' and 'next'.
